The Beginning of a Legacy
Our story began in 1986 in Rajkot, Gujarat, with the establishment of Parekh Steels. What started as a humble trading venture soon became a trusted name in the distribution of shot blasting abrasives across India. This marked the foundation of a legacy built on integrity, commitment, and quality service.
Expanding Horizons: Exporting Shot Blasting Abrasives
After successfully building a strong domestic presence, we entered the international market in 2002, exporting shot blasting abrasives to global clients. This milestone reflected our growing reputation for reliability and product consistency beyond Indian borders.
Setting Up Our First Manufacturing Plant
To meet rising demand and ensure uncompromised quality, we set up our first state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in 2009. This facility introduced a complete range of Cut Wire Shots made from Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper, Aluminum, and Zinc wires - available in various sizes and shapes.
This marked our evolution from a distributor to a manufacturer of precision-engineered steel abrasives.
Global Expansion: Exporting Cut Wire Shots
By 2012, our Cut Wire Shots gained significant international recognition for their durability, performance, and consistency. We began exporting them to multiple countries, strengthening our position as a global supplier of steel abrasives and expanding our footprint across diverse industries.
Scaling Up: Production Capacity Expansion
Driven by increasing market demand and our commitment to serve clients better, we moved our operations to a larger facility in 2016. This expansion enabled us to enhance production capacity, adopt advanced process automation, and maintain faster delivery timelines - setting new benchmarks for operational excellence.
Establishment of Unit-II: Advanced Manufacturing
In 2019, we set up Unit-II, a state-of-the-art production facility designed to support large-scale manufacturing and meet our growing export commitments. Equipped with modern machinery, automated systems, and enhanced quality control measures, this unit became a cornerstone of our continued growth and reliability.
Diversification: Entry into Steel Fibres
Embracing innovation and diversification, TOCO Steels launched a new product line - Steel Fibres - to cater to the construction and refractory industries. This strategic expansion marked our entry into high-performance materials for concrete reinforcement and industrial flooring applications, opening new opportunities within the infrastructure sector.
New Venture: Foundry Setup
In 2023, we embarked on a new chapter by establishing a foundry unit, enabling in-house casting and metallurgical innovations. This venture expanded our capabilities in metal processing, customization, and product development, strengthening our integrated approach to steel manufacturing.
Innovation Unleashed: 6K Series Introduction
A major milestone in our R&D journey came in 2024 with the launch of the 6K Series - a breakthrough shot peening material engineered for ultra-high performance and extended lifespan. The 6K Series redefines efficiency and surface treatment precision, setting new standards in shot peening media technology.
Unit-III Expansion: Scaling for the Future
To support our expanding product lines and global orders, we relocated Unit-I (7,000 sq. ft.) to a significantly larger 30,000 sq. ft. Unit-III facility in 2025. This expansion enhanced our production scalability, inventory management, and export readiness, empowering us to meet rising global demand with speed and consistency.
